CHARLOTTE — CMPD detectives are investigating a homicide Thursday night in northwest Charlotte.
The investigation is on Long Paw Lane in a neighborhood along Gum Branch Road.

Officers responded to the scene and found a male, who was unresponsive, CMPD said. The victim died at the scene.
According to an update from CMPD on Friday, the victim was identified as 23-year-old Jeremiah Wesley Brice.
Detectives are still investigating Brice’s death, but CMPD is asking anyone with information to call 704-432-TIPS.
