CMPD conducting homicide investigation in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in west Charlotte late Friday night.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. on Willow Street.

Officers said they were called to assist MEDIC and when they got to the home, they found 75-year-old Edward Theodore Moses with gunshot wounds.

Moses was taken to a local hospital, but he later died from his injuries.

Police said preliminary information and evidence indicates the victim was shot during a domestic-related argument. Officials said the victim’s girlfriend was taken to CMPD headquarters for questioning.

No other information has been released.
