CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are conducting a homicide investigation after they said a 20-year-old man was shot to death in west Charlotte.

Police swarmed the scene just after 8 p.m. Monday on Pruitt Street, outside the Queen's Gate Apartments.
Detectives told Channel 9 someone opened fire in the parking lot and shot Juordan Hill. He ran inside an apartment, which is where responding officers found him.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
CMPD said Hill and several witnesses were standing outside the apartment in the parking lot when an unknown suspect began shooting at them.
No other information has been released and no arrests have been made.
