CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department detectives charged Karlos Antonio Holmes in the 2013 homicide of Tiffany Claiborne.
Officers responded to the 6300 block of Trotters Ridge Road on Nov. 25, 2013 in reference to a death investigation where they found the body of Claiborne inside the home.
Friends found her in her bathtub last Monday with a hair dryer in the water.

At that time, it was determined that the death was suspicious, police said. The 2013 warrant stated detectives saw a large bruise on Claiborne's hip, a scratch on her right knee and a small amount of blood in her mouth and left eye.
On Tuesday the District Attorney's Office and homicide detectives signed warrants for Holmes on the charge of murder.
Police arrested Holmes Thursday without incident and charged him with murder.
