CMPD asks for public’s help to locate missing 16-year-old girl

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for help to find a missing teen. The police got the call about her disappearance on Feb. 13.

Leana Lang, 16, was last seen leaving Olympic High School on Sandy Porter Road in southwest Charlotte, police said Thursday in a news release.

Family members are concerned about Lang’s safety.

Lang is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, and has brown eyes.

She has braids and sometimes wears her hair naturally, police said.
