Officers were called to the 7-Eleven on North Graham Street, right off Interstate 85, but police said the two men were shot somewhere else.
They said a vehicle pulled up beside the victim's white Nissan and fired shots into the car.
The victims managed to drive to the convenience store and called 911.
Officers still are unclear exactly where the shooting happened.
One of the victims who was shot will be OK, police said, but the other man was still being treated by doctors at the hospital.
