CMPD: 2 homes sprayed with bullets during shootout in east Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating after two houses were sprayed with bullets during a shootout in east Charlotte.

CMPD said two groups of people in two different cars were shooting at each other and hit two houses early Wednesday morning.

The shootout happened just after 1 a.m. in a neighborhood off Bradstreet Commons Way and Deluca Drive.

Channel 9 learned the houses that were hit were not the targets and no one was hurt.

No arrests have been made and it is unclear what led to the shooting.
