According to CMPD, officials found a burgundy Harley-Davidson motorcycle and pronounced 65-year-old Phillip Reed dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police the motorcycle was traveling around a curve heading south on Ridge Road at a high speed. After crossing the center line, they said the rider applied his brakes, skidded and was ejected, striking a guardrail.
