CLOSURES & DELAYS: Several local school districts on 2-hour delay Monday due to icy roads

CHARLOTTE — Several local school districts have modified classroom instruction on Monday due to road conditions. This comes after a winter storm that swept through the Carolinas Friday night brought snow and ice to our area, and several districts said icy roads in the area are still a major concern.

Anson County Schools

Closed Monday due to road conditions in the area.

Avery County Schools

Avery County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay Monday.

Caldwell County Schools

Due to areas in the county that continue to have snow and ice-covered roads, Caldwell County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay Monday. The WrapAround Program will also operate on a 2-hour delay.

Chesterfield County Schools

Chesterfield County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay Monday.

Lancaster County Schools

Due to the threat of black ice on roads, sidewalks, and parking lots, Monday will be an e-learning day for all schools and offices.

Stanly County Schools

Stanly County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay Monday.
