City bans employees from smoking at Charlotte Douglas International

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — City leaders are cracking down on smoking at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

[Ohio may ban smoking in cars with young children]

Starting in November, employees at the airport will not be allowed to smoke or use tobacco products

Airline employees are already banned from doing so.

Passengers will still be allowed to smoke in designated areas, because a complete ban would require county intervention.

The airport director said a majority of smokers at the location are employees.
