CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A local Charlotte football team has qualified for a national competition and a church has helped them with the high cost.
Their coach did not expect them to make nationals their first year in the league, but after they did, they needed donations to help get them there.

"The lessons on the field are similar to the lessons of the bible. There are struggles, there are setbacks. But if we stay together and trust in the name of the Lord, ultimately we will be successful," said Pastor Walter Bowers of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
