MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Iredell County District Attorney Sarah Kirkman will not pursue charges in the case of a shot fired from a deputy's gun in a bowling alley that grazed a child.
An off-duty Iredell County sheriff's deputy accidentally discharged a gun at a George Pappas’ Victory Lanes on May 25 and a 10-year-old child was grazed by a fragment of the bullet after it ricocheted off the floor, authorities said.
He was later suspended without pay for 20 days and put on employment probation.
