Chester County moving forward on incentives tied to $1.2B economic development project

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — It appears Chester County is in contention for a major economic development project, but details are sparse at this time.

At its meeting on Monday, the Chester County Council approved a resolution that committed the county to enter into a fee agreement with Project Raven. The resolution also committed the county to making other incentives available for the code-named project.

County documents show Project Raven is expected to include an investment of at least $1.2 billion and the creation of 307 new, full-time jobs.
