CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — A Chester County detention officer has been accused of having a sexual encounter with an inmate in the Chester Detention Center, according to a warrant.
The warrant said Dominiece White was charged with misconduct in office and fired. Reporter Greg Suskin was the first to break the news on Twitter.
White was a lieutenant and a shift supervisor.
Officials arrested White based on video surveillance, recordings and witness statements, the warrant said.
Chief Deputy Robert Sprouse said officers are all held to a high standard, which is why White was immediately dismissed.
Warrant says arrest was made after witness statements were taken as well as video surveillance and recordings were taken into evidence.

White was at the detention center for five years and supervised five employees on her shift.
Her family told Channel 9 that the allegations are not true, but they did not have a further comment.
Officials said the case is still under investigation and how not told Channel 9 what was on the surveillance video.
Suskin is continuing to follow this story and will have the latest on Eyewitness News at 5 p.m.
