On Thursday, the PGA of America announced that the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte will host the 2025 PGA Championship.
This will be the second PGA Championship played at Quail Hollow making it the first golf course in North Carolina to host multiple PGA Championships.

“The PGA of America is proud to return the PGA Championship to Quail Hollow and the wonderful host city of Charlotte,” PGA of America President Suzy Whaley stated in a news release.
“Quail Hollow’s course has a well-earned reputation as a stern test for the world’s finest players, but what sets the club apart is its membership and the welcoming atmosphere that they promote. The state of North Carolina’s appreciation for the game and major championship golf is remarkable.”
The championship will be held in May 2025. The exact dates were not released.

Currently home to the Wells Fargo Championship, the course opened in 1961 and was originally designed by famed golf course architect George Cobb.
Next year, the 2021 Wells Fargo Championship will be held in Potomac, Maryland, while the Quail Hollow Club prepares to host the Presidents Cup next fall.
The Wells Fargo Championship is set to return to the club in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
