CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte housing market ended 2020 on a strong note, shaking off the impact felt earlier in the year when the COVID-19 pandemic first hit.

Canopy Realtor Association on Friday released full-year and December statistics on residential real estate activity across the 16-county Charlotte region.

That report, based on Canopy MLS data, showed that both closed and pending sales ticked upward in December and the entire year as did sales and listing prices amid a fast-moving sellers’ market in Charlotte. That also led to inventory plummeting to new lows.
