CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A well-known Charlotte city employee has a new position.
The assistant city manager, Hyong Yi, has a new role working with sustainability and innovation. He has been an assistant city manager since 2014. He also served as Mecklenburg County's management and budget from 2004 until he took the assistant city manager role in 2014.
Meanwhile, Charlotte’s strategy and budget director, Kim Eagle, was promoted to the assistant city manager position.
City officials would not give the reason behind the move, saying it’s a personnel matter.
