CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Family and friends gathered to celebrate the life of a Charlotte woman who just turned 110 years old.
Loved ones threw a birthday party Saturday for Hester Ford, a mother of 12.
One of her son's told Channel 9 the family is grateful to still have their mother in their lives and they pray they'll be able to spend many more years with her.
“It's a blessing to be able to have a living mother at that age,” son Joe L. Ford said.
Members of her church said she is being cared for by her daughters and is a loving member of the community.
