CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Plans for White Duck Taco have officially gotten the green light in Charlotte's Belmont neighborhood.

That popular Asheville taco concept expects to start construction on a 1,700-square-foot restaurant soon. It will be located at the corner of 10th Street and Seigle Avenue.
"We should get open in October — or hopefully sooner," local franchisee Jeff Carter says. "Everybody seems to be excited it's coming."

The restaurant is part of a 116,000-plus square foot project by Pamlico Investments, which includes retail and self-storage space.
