CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Jim Noble’s family-inspired fried chicken restaurant is now open.

Bossy Beulah’s Chicken Shack opened for lunch Tuesday — though it will dish up just 300 chicken sandwiches total — and have a limited number available daily over the next few weeks as part of a soft opening.

The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. daily, with all-day service to be rolled out in the coming weeks. It is located at 2200 Freedom Drive, making it neighbors with Noble Smoke.

Bossy Beulah’s is a nod to Noble’s great aunt, Beulah, who often prepared fried chicken on Sundays after church and babysat Noble and his cousins.
