Charlotte region to be home to Doosan Bobcat’s biggest operation

STATESVILLE, N.C. — A major employer in the Charlotte region has confirmed its plans to more than double the size of its facilities here.

On Monday night, Doosan Bobcat North America announced it would invest $70 million in a new, 580,000-square-foot facility and create 250 jobs in Statesville.

The facility will be built next to the company’s existing operations, where it has the North American headquarters for Doosan Portable Power.

The expansion will make the Statesville location the largest Doosan Bobcat operation in the world, the company said.
