Charlotte Pipe is seeking the UMUD, or uptown mixed-use district, zoning for about 55 acres of its land near Bank of America Stadium. The company has a foundry on the land, between West Morehead Street and West Summit Avenue, but will relocate to Oakboro in Stanly County in the coming years.
