CONCORD, N.C. — Channel 9 got a first look at Charlotte Motor Speedway road-oval course, known as the ROVAL.
The ROVAL course is a 17-turn, 2.4-mile track.
It is the first-ever 400-kilometer road-oval race. The Bank of America ROVAl 400 will be the longest road-course track in NASCAR
Bojangles' Qualifying will kick off the proceedings on Sept. 28.
The ROVAL is a road course in the infield surrounded by an oval.
Fans can watch drivers test the ROVAL at Test Fest from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and July 17.
Fans who purchased Bank of America ROVAL 400 tickets will experience the ROVAL from behind the wheel on Saturday. Charlotte Motor Speedway will allow ticketholders to drive their personal cars three laps around the innovative new course from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
