CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have charged a suspect after a man was killed in a shooting in north Charlotte last month.

Officers said 21-year-old Wardell Alonzo Sherill has been charged with the murder of 37-year-old Mario Reynolds.

The shooting happened around 9 p.m. on March 28, on Irma Street, near Catherine Simmons Avenue.

When officers got to the area, they found Reynolds suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
