Charlotte man gets life in prison for murder

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte man was found guilty Monday for a murder that happened four years ago.    
                                   
A judge sentenced James Currie to life in prison after the verdict was handed down.
 
He allegedly shot and killed a man behind an apartment building near Albemarle Road in east Charlotte.
 
Currie was already serving time for an unrelated murder in New York.
