CHARLOTTE — The annual list of the “World’s Best Cities” was released recently by Resonance Consultancy, and Charlotte made the cut — just barely. The Queen City came in at No. 99 on the list of 100 urban destinations around the globe.

“Affluent, easy to love for its southern charm and open for business and pleasure,” the feature says of Charlotte, noting its status as a banking powerhouse, airport connectivity and “unexpected” attractions such as the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
