CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Batter — and barbecue — up. That’s the pitch from the Charlotte Knights.
On Wednesday, team officials unveiled new menu items while previewing the return of minor-league baseball after the pandemic canceled the 2020 season. The Triple-A Knights make their home debut May 4.
A number of changes big and small are part of the 2021 season — and most are COVID-related.
An exception to that rule? The addition of locally based regional restaurant chain Mac’s Speed Shop. Mac’s will have several stands throughout Truist Field serving barbecue. Professional Sports Catering, a division of Levy Restaurants, is still the ballpark concessionaire.
