CHARLOTTE — More than 60 firefighters battled a three-alarm structure fire in the 1100 block of Tar Heel Road on Saturday night.
An employee at Cumulus Fibres told reporter Alexa Ashwell a machine caught on fire inside a warehouse, resulting in heavy smoke coming from the building.
It took firefighters 56 minutes to put the fire out, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.
Firefighters are still investigating the cause, but did confirm a machine started the fire in the warehouse. There were no injuries.
An employee said he believed the machine jammed and overheated before catching fire.
