CHARLOTTE — Charlotte FC fell 3-2 to the Chicago Fire on Saturday at Bank of America Stadium. It was the first time the teams met.
Charlotte FC picked up a much-needed win over D.C. United in 3 -0 shutout to keep their playoff hopes alive on Wednesday, which makes eight home wins in the team’s first 11 matches.
The Fire comes into the Queen City off a win. However, they haven’t won back-to-back home matches in almost nine years.
Charlotte had a record of 9-12-2 compared the Fire’s 7-10-6 record. With Charlotte only three spots ahead of Chicago in the Eastern Conference standings, the matchup will prove to be pivotal for the playoff picture.
