CHARLOTTE — A trip to Florida was the final leg of Charlotte FC’s four-match road trip that concluded with a game versus Orlando City FC.
Charlotte FC, 3-1-5, fell 2-1 to the Orlando City FC, 4-2-3, Saturday at Exploria Stadium in Orlando.
Charlotte FC was searching for an elusive first victory as the away team in MLS play.
The club spent its last three matches on the road including an Open Cup victory over the Greenville Triumph, a loss to the New England Revolution and a tie against the Colorado Rapids.
Charlotte FC’s offense has stalled of late against MLS opponents. Over its last four matches, Charlotte has netted just two goals and sputtered to a 1-1-2 record over that span.
