Charlotte Douglas received more than 55,000 airplane noise complaints in 2020

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — People who live near Charlotte Douglas International Airport are fed up with all of the noise from planes flying over their homes.

It’s an issue Channel 9 has investigated extensively for years.

In 2020, Charlotte Douglas received 55,036 complaints about noise at the airport.
