ROCK HILL, S.C. — A local developer has acquired property for a development project in the Charlotte region.
Charlotte-based White Point Partners purchased several parcels on West Main Street in Rock Hill for just over $3 million, York County real estate records show. The developer purchased the property under the entity WP Herald LLC. The site is the former home of the Rock Hill Herald. The deal closed in late July, coming after city leaders approved a development agreement for the site in May.
The former Herald site has been part of the city’s Knowledge Park efforts to inject investment to sites in and around downtown Rock Hill.
The development agreement shows the project could draw at least $40 million in total investment.
