CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte City Council will kick off 2025 by talking about crime.

Monday night’s agenda lists a public safety update as the first item that will be discussed.

This comes after the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reported 110 homicides in 2024.

The council will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday in Room 267 of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center.
