CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Scooters are here to stay, but the city of Charlotte wants to add some rules.
Staffers told City Council they want to ban scooters on certain sidewalks in Center City.

These streets include Stonewall, College, 7th and Church streets.
Staffers are also proposing a ban on scooters on streets with a speed limit of more than 35 mph.

Charlotte City Council will vote on the proposal in the coming weeks.
