Charlotte call centers return to normal, including CATS, 311, water services

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte’s city call center and other services across the city are back to normal operations after they were down for several days.

The City of Charlotte posted the update on social media Monday afternoon.

Charlotte Water phone lines were down over the weekend due to the outage, as well as Charlotte Area Transit System phone lines. Charlotte Water, 311 and CATS services were all affected.

Residents were asked to not call 911 unless they were experiencing emergencies and needed police, fire or MEDIC.

The city worked with its vendor over the weekend to fix the issues. Now, CATS and Charlotte Water have new phone numbers.

You can reach CATS at 704-336-7433 and Charlotte Water 704-336-7600. The city said they expect a call volume Monday that’s higher than normal and asked for patience as they clear the backlog.
