CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Comedy Zone Worldwide is under new management. EastCoast Entertainment — a Charlotte-based entertainment booking agency — has merged with the comedy giant, also based in Charlotte. It has launched a new division, called ECE Comedy.

About a year ago, EastCoast Entertainment began considering adding comedy to its portfolio and what it would take to be a serious contender, says Doug Daniel, president and chief executive.
“The Comedy Zone is a household name and has a tremendous reputation for providing top-notch service to their clients in addition to the most talented comedians. Merging felt like a no-brainer as the company’s vision and guiding principles align so closely with those of ECE,” he says.
