Charlotte Airport has new technology to keep travelers safe during the pandemic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — For most people, the COVID-19 pandemic has meant no airline travel for months, or maybe even a year.

Charlotte-Douglas International Airport has started using new technology to keep workers and passengers safe.

The new technology helps keep passengers distant from TSA officers, without risking their safety.

“It keeps the contact down,” said passenger Cameron Donalson. “It’s pretty good, I feel pretty safe.”
