Changes in store for Charlotte-born restaurant chain

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-born Viva Chicken has a new look.

The fast-casual Peruvian rotisserie chicken joint has adopted a new logo and packaging as part of efforts to position the brand for the future, says Gerald Pulsinelli, CEO.

“It’s really going to help us as we grow the concept out of our home base of Charlotte,” he says. “As a concept grows, you need to continue to evolve who you are but pay homage to the roots that got you there.”

The chain has expanded from its original location in Charlotte’s Elizabeth neighborhood to more than a dozen in the Carolinas and Utah. More stores are slated to open by the end of the year.
