CHARLOTTE — If you still owe your sweetheart a night out for Valentine’s Day, Yelp has a suggestion for you. The review site recently put out a feature on “The Most Romantic Restaurant in Every State,” choosing The Cellar at Duckworth’s to represent North Carolina.
That intimate, dimly lit spot is tucked into the basement level of the building that houses the uptown location of Duckworth’s Grill & Taphouse.
The building dates to 1912, owner Rob Duckworth told CBJ back in 2015, when that location was set to debut. It’s at 330 N. Tryon St., on the corner of Seventh Street.
The Cellar currently carries a 4.5-star rating on Yelp.
