CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A driver’s dashcam caught an intense crash Monday afternoon on the outer loop of Interstate 485 near Arrowood Road.
“It was, like, I was on a race track, and it was a Talladega crash,” Lous Hall said. “There were cars going everywhere -- definitely scary.”
Hall was driving home from work when the wreck happened. He watched his dashcam video several times of a white car, which attempted to exit onto Arrowood Road but merged back onto the interstate hitting another car, causing a chain reaction.
“The car changed his mind at the last minute, last second, and came back out on the freeway, and that’s what caused the crash. At least from my point of view,” Hall said.
The car that caused the crash kept going and did not stop.
“You could have cost somebody their life,” Hall said. “You can’t just pull back out on the interstate like that in traffic.”
Troopers are investigating the five-vehicle crash.
There is no word if authorities have caught up with the driver who caused the wreck
