CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Starting Wednesday, there will be an easier way to get to the Bojangles Arena to get your COVID-19 vaccine.
When the county first announced the mass vaccination site at Bojangles Coliseum, some commissioners had concerns not everyone could make it there especially in underserved communities.
Beginning Wednesday, February 3, CATS will provide two bus routes to Bojangles Coliseum for residents to access their scheduled COVID-19 vaccine appointments.

But starting at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, CATS will offer bus rides to make it easier for people to get their shot.
Here’s how it works:
The buses will operate from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
There are two routes: one from the Transportation Center in uptown and the other from Eastland Community Transit Center.
You’ll still have to pay $2.20 for the bus fare, but you’ll have a straight shot to the coliseum.

There will be two bus stops when you get there. One for people who are receiving the first vaccine shot, and the other is for people receiving their second dose.
After the mass vaccine clinic at Bank of America Stadium last weekend, organizers agreed public transit helped make it successful and more accessible.
