CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — The Spa at Rock Barn is in the middle of a $3 million renovation and expansion project that’s designed to bring even more tourism dollars to Catawba County.
As part of Rock Barn Country Club & Spa, the facility will get an expanded outside spa deck, a new salt cave, a new coffee and juice partner along with renovations throughout the 21,000-square-foot space.
Work started in January with plans for completion this winter.
Flame Deal, Rock Barn’s assistant general manager and spa operations director, says the project should help bring additional tourists to the Hickory area and even to western North Carolina.
