RALEIGH, N.C. — There’s no need to wait until the fall for people to sink their teeth into some fair food, WTVD reported.
That’s because the North Carolina state fairgrounds in Raleigh opened up a drive-thru for Memorial Day weekend.
There was a line of cars, with visitors all waiting to get everything from funnel cakes, fried Oreos to cotton candy.
One group drove more than an hour just to get out of the house and get their fair food fix.
“Cooped up. Cooped up. We want some fair food. I mean this is like tradition just cause were in quarantine doesn’t mean we can’t come to get the food," said a visitor.
The drive-thru will also be open Monday and next weekend. If someone plans on making the trip, the event is cash only.
