CHARLOTTE — The owner of one of the Charlotte region’s biggest tourist attractions is once again eyeing a takeover bid.
Bloomberg reports that Cedar Fair, the parent of Carowinds and other entertainment and hospitality properties, has confirmed it is considering an unsolicited offer from SeaWorld Entertainment. The news service cites unnamed sources in pegging the potential deal’s value at roughly $3.4 billion.

This isn’t the first time Sandusky, Ohio-based Cedar Fair has been at the negotiating table. In 2019, Six Flags Entertainment sought to buy the company.
