CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carowinds' Fury 325 has been named the "Best Steel Coaster" in Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Awards. This is the third year in a row the coaster has received the award.

Fury 325 debuted at the park in 2015, and since then, it has received top honors from the Golden Ticket Awards.
The coaster is known as the world's tallest and fastest giga coaster. It criss-crosses the state line between the Carolinas.
Officials say the coaster is 325 feet tall, has speeds up to 95 mph, and stretches more than a mile.

Carowinds has a total of 13 coasters. The latest addition to Carowinds, Copperhead Strike, is set to open in spring 2019.
