An investigation revealed that Allen was traveling northwest on Carowinds Boulevard when he collided with the Honda Accord as it turned onto the same road.
Police said impairment and speed appear to be possible factors on the part of the motorcyclist. It also appears Allen was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Toxicology results, however, are pending.
