CHARLOTTE — Carowinds will introduce two fall parades to its seasonal lineup, park officials announced last month.
The Tricks and Treats Parade will take place during the family-friendly daytime celebration the Great Pumpkin Fest, and the Procession of Nightmares Parade will up the thrills and chills during SCarowinds.

The Great Pumpkin Fest is set to run on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Sept. 16 – Oct. 29. The Tricks and Treats Parade will begin at 3:30 p.m. Halloween-themed floats will wind through the park’s midway.
The Procession of Nightmares begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature monstrous structures slithering through the park, joined by grotesque characters and mesmerizing effects. The parade unfolds against the backdrop of SCarowinds, which runs on select nights from Sept. 15 – Oct. 29 and is recommended for ages 13 and older.
