INDIAN LAND, N.C. — Cardinal Health will shutter its Indian Land office next year, eliminating hundreds of jobs.
Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal, the health care services and products company, confirmed the news on Friday.
“Cardinal Health must continually adapt to meet the changing needs of our industry. We have made the difficult decision to close our (Indian Land), South Carolina, facility in spring 2021 and consolidate our sterile and non-sterile kitting manufacturing operations at other Cardinal Health sites. We have met with impacted employees and are providing severance, benefits and outplacement services to support them through this transition,” Cardinal Health said in a statement to the Charlotte Business Journal.
About 350 people work at the Indian Land location. Cardinal said about 300 people will be affected.
