ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A car struck a Rowan County fire engine while it was at the scene of a crash on Interstate 85 Monday night.
Officials said the Bostian Heights Fire Department, China Grove Fire, and a local towing company were working to clear a crash involving a car and tractor-trailer in the sound-bound lanes of I-85 near mile marker 65. A Bostian Heights tanker and two engines were parked in lanes one and two with emergency lights on. A car struck the tanker and came to rest next to an engine.
