HICKORY, N.C. — Police said nobody was seriously hurt after a car was sent airborne into a Catawba County home early Thursday morning.
Channel 9 reporter Dave Faherty responded to the scene around 8:15 a.m. on Third Avenue NE at Second Street in Hickory, and could see the fence outside the home was broken and that the vehicle crashed into the house.
The street was shut down while police worked to clear the scene.
Police told Channel 9 that the driver ran a red light and also collided with a utility pole before hitting the house.
